Ooo another card maybe the old mojo is starting to return lol.

It was me old mucker Suzie Q's burpday yesterday but as I didn't get to see her till today I couldn't put this on me blog cos she'd have sneaked a peak lol. Truth is it wasn't finished till near midnight lol.

Suzie got this gorgeous Hanglar stamp a couple of weeks ago and I was priviledge to get first stamp lol. Haven't a clue what her name is but I think she's from a christmas collection although as you can see you can use her anytime. The papers are from a fabbie swedish company called Maja Designs. I saw them on my blog travels and fell in love with them. Luckily for me Paula loved them too and less than a week from mentioning them they arrived at the shop lol. They are also on the web. They really are beautiful 12 x 12 papers although to be honest they're more like cardstock perfect for scrapbooking and cardmaking. I'm definately getting more of these lol. The sentiment is from the lovely lili of the valley. I treated myself just before christmas to this set and the christmas sentiment set. I have coloured her with my copics. It's the first time i've tried to colour an image in sepia tones. It's not to bad for a first attempt I suppose but I think I could do with more practice.

I don't think this card fits into any challenges. I spent ages looking for a sketch and just couldn't find one I liked so did me own thing (look how that turned out rofl) and I didn't really take much notice of the other challenges I was on a deadline lol.

Sorry again for the pooey photo's. I have 3 camera's and not one has a charged battery blasted teenager and her photo taking lol so I had to take it with my phone.

Off now to charge the batteries so I can hopefully take a better picture of the next card lol.

It's been a very very long time

*Cough cough* sorry it's a bit dusty in here but then you'd expect that when it's not been visted for over a year lol.

I thought i'd post this paperbag card that I made for my son's teacher. It's her last day tomorrow teaching at his school and she is a fantastic teacher and she will be greatly missed. I haven't actually made anything for ages now and to be honest wasn't sure if I could still do it. My mate Suzie Q told me about the fabby sketch on Papertake Weekly this week so I thought i'd give it a go. I also noticed on the JM & HS blog that it's going dotty this week so I was pleased that this card fits into 2 challenges not just one. Wow get me!!!! Lol.

I used Farewell Tilda from the Bon Voyage Magnolia collection. I coloured her with my copics and used Fancy Pants Happy Together papers. I used flowers from my stash and spritz them with iridescent gold glimmer mist. Got a bit heavy handed with it and turned the brown flower gold lol.

Right i'd better get off. I have an even more important card to make for a special friends birthday which is next Sunday. It's going to take me that long to choose the papers and the stamp let alone put it together lol.

An apology and the NEC

I'm sorry :0(

It's been 3 months since my last post (and this one was supposed to be up two days ago insert rolling eye smilie lol). I have no excuse really apart from I just can't be bothered. My mojo nipped home 3 months ago and has since been "On the run" like a fugitive lol. Its has been hiding out somewhere in craft land. I've search everywhere but to no avail *sigh*. I just can't seem to find my little crafting mojo. I do miss it and I would like it to return, there is a huge set of copics wanting to come out to play lol.

Now do you see why this blog is called Mojo on the Run lol.

I had the pleasure of working at the NEC last week with Geoff and Paula, thank you so much for asking me I had a fantastic time. We were also joined by the lovely Charry, who was demonstrating. Charry is the sweetest lady you will ever meet thank you for making my stay away from my family so much easier.

On Thursday I met the fabulous Marlene. She is such a lovely lady. I was totally starstruck. I could not believe that one of the Creme de la Creme (in my opinion) of the crafting/blogging world was standing right in front of me and I was serving her. I was almost a jibbering wreck but I managed to compose myself long enough not to scare her away screaming "stay away from stand D03 there is a total nutter working there" lol.

Then on Saturday I got to meet Marlene again and 5 more of the Creme de la Creme of the blogging world. I also got to meet Marlene and Rach's lovely daughters.

OMG

You should have seen me. Actually it's probably better that you didn't lol. I was a jibbering wreck, shaking with excitement, totally starstruck, that standing in front of me, lil old me and actually speaking to me was these six fantastic ladies. I must have looked like a total nutter. No answer needed Susie Q lol. I blame the fact that i'd drunk two cans of Relentless that morning lol.

It was busy all 4 days so I didn't get much time away to look round unfortunately. I did however manage to make it to the magnolia stand once or twice lol where I met the lovely John and Barbro. I did spot the fabbie Marcea and Bev on the magnolia stand but didn't have time to say hello probably a good job really with the two cans of relentless surging through my body lol.

I'm not back at work now till Thursday so maybe i'll use the time to have another look for my mojo lol.

Don't faint but...........................

I've made a card. Wooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooo

My mojo nipped home the other night and stopped just long enough for me to make a card. Now I would have posted this soon but for some strange reason blogger wouldn't let me go on any blogs last night. It kept coming up "your computer or network is sending automated queries" blah blah blah the end result it wouldn't let me view anyone's blog not even my own aarrgg. Anyway i'm here now ( cos I have a days holiday today lol) and Susie Q can stop leaving me coooeeeeee anyone home messages lol.

I decided to use the sketch from Truly Scrumptious' Challenge # 13.

I really like this sketch and will defo use it again when my mojo returns for good lol.

Here is my interpretation;

I've used my favourite papers MME Grow. The punch was MS Valentine Lace. The stamps are the Daisy by Magnolia and Heidi Swiss Pixie by CC Designs. The white flowers were from my stash and the orange flowers were a little something I picked up in Hobbycraft a few weeks ago.

I'd better go and make hubby a well deserved drink as he's sorting out the front garden with my little man. He's got him involved so as to stop him scratching as he's got Shingles (well the Dr's think that's what it is) poor little thing.

ETA: I forgot to add that there is an added element to the challenge which was to use a bit of bling on your card. I sprayed the flowers with Glimmer mist and added a bit of glitter but you can't actually see it that well.

Totally Useless

Yep that's me totally useless. I said I'd post my cards that I got for me birthday but never quite got round to it. Life is just getting in the way at the moment there just never seems to be enough hours to do everything that I want to do.

Anyway enough of me whinging lol here are my cards and hopefully (although i'm NOT promising lol) i'll get time to make a card before i'm back at work on Monday.

I know it's been nearly a month since my last post but i've kinda lost me mojo. Well I haven't kinda I definately have. I just can't find the motivation to sit down and do anything. There is a very good reason why and the reason is here:

Isn't she gorgeous. Well I think she is but then i'm biased being her auntie. Little Phoebe is now nearly 10 weeks old and any spare time I have I spend with her. She is my first niece and probably my only one lol.

Anyway I thought I should post something as Suzie Q is going to post comments on my blog until I do something lol. I will be back later with some creations. No they aren't mine they are cards that I received for my birthday last week.

Sorry for being such a bad blogger but now at least you know why i'm so bad :o)

I'm back

Hi Everyone

It's been a long time since I was here last.

My knee is healing now thank god. I've not done a lot of crafting lately though as I started reading my twilight book and I just can't put it down. I've always liked Vampires since I was a child so I knew that i'd be hooked the minute I started reading it lol.

I have made a card though and it's for my work buddy KT. Now KT loves Hello Kitty, Pink and Black and she was 25 this birthday so this was an easy card to make. Well the thought was easy lol.

I used my design studio to create the 25 card using George and Storybook. Kitty was cut out of Hello Kitty Font Cartridge. It's not quite what I was wanting but what can I expect when I started at 9 oclock on Thursday and needed it for Friday. One day i'll be organised lol. Sorry about the picture I suddenly realised that i'd forgotten to take one so it was a quick snap at about 12 oclock lol.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather i'm off to try and get my book finished so I can start the next one lol.

Slight set back

Well I thought i'd nip on and say sorry i've not posted anything but i've had a minor set back with my knee. I had the stitches removed on Thursday. Hurray I thought no more sitting with my leg on the desk whilst I whip round the t'internet viewing my fav blogs lol. Unfortunately I hadn't taken more than 10 paces from the hospital doorway when it started to bleed. I went back in and they steri striped it up and put a dressing on. "Keep that on for 24 hours" the nurse said and if you still have problems come back. Well I took the dressing off yesterday but didn't bother with the steri strips as I was working and thought it would add a little bit of protection. I decided to take the steri strips off before I went to bed last night (you may have guessed i'm no early bird when it comes to bedtime lol). Now if you are a little squeamish don't read on lol. As I started to carefully remove the steri strips my knee decided to open up before my eyes. Now I think the deep tissue sutures wanted to say hello but I can't be sure lol. So at 1am this morning i've had to get my darling hubby to run me down to the local walk in clinic to see what they could do. Unfortunately it was to far gone to restitch so I had to have it steri striped again. Now you'd be thinking that this is the end of my rather long winded story and if I had any sort of good luck then you'd be right but alas i'm not that fortunate. Today at work it was really hurting it actually felt like i'd been burnt. So carefully removing the huge bandage that had been applied and peeling back the dressing I found a rather large red sore. Yes you've guessed it i've developed an allergy to this particular sort of plaster (insert rolling eyes smilie). So this evening off I go back to the walk in clinic to have it removed and another dressing put on. Whilst the nurse was prepping everything see noticed that my knee was slightly warm. Yep you've guessed right again i've developed an infection.

I'm now on antibiotics for the next week and i've got to keep my knee rested and elevated again and i've got to try and get about with a knee strapped up like this:

You know if I didn't have bad luck i'd have none at all lol.

Hope I didn't bore you all with my long winded moan. Hopefully this will all be over and done with by this time next week and I can get back to my desk sitting in the correct position and doing a bit of crafting.

You can wake up now i've finished lol.

God that was a bit more than a nip on wasn't it sorry.

Tilda Class Cards

Here are the cards that I promised i'd post yesterday. I know i'm useless but in my defence i've been finding it really uncomfortable sitting at my desk. I may only have to use my fingers/hands as a few have said but try sitting with your leg on the desk as it has to be kept elevated. Not an easy or comfortable task I can tell you lol. Where is the raspberry blowing smilie when you need one lol. Love you really girlies.

This is the first card that I made using the Magnolia Butterflies collection. She is coloured in with watercolours and the papers are my favourite papers ever MME's Grow.

The second card is made using the Magnolia Love Collection. Again i've watercoloured the images and the PP is Sweetie Pie's Sign by Bo Bunny. The sentiment is from the Magnolia Butterflies collection and the flourish is a QK die.

I'm off to get me jim jams on as my knee has started swell up again (because it's not on the desk lol) and I don't want it to swell so much I can't get me jeans off lol.

Oooo i'm such a bad blogger

I'm such a bad blogger i'm sorry. Life just seems to get in the way sometimes or my life does lol.

Last week was a nightmare. On the way to work Monday morning I suddenly realised that the car was due it's MOT. What I didn't realise until I looked was the car had run out of MOT aarrggg. I had to try and find someone to MOT the car ASAP before Mr Plod found out and gave me a ticking off lol. Luckily our normal place could book it in for the Tuesday so that was that day gone. Then last Wednesday I was having a new boiler fitted. OMG the dust and noise was terrible definately not the environment for crafting so nothing got done then. Then it was back to work. This week hasn't been much better. I was due to do a class at work on Wednesday evening but due to my knee op I wasn't actually going to be able to take it but had agreed to do the cards and pass them on for someone else to do the class. Well on Monday Matt called to say that the hospital had rung and bumped my op for the second time so instead of going in on Wednesday (orginally the Tuesday) they wanted me in on the Thursday. I was beginning to wonder if this op was ever going to happen lol.

Well it has and now i'm feeling a little sore. I had the same thing done last year and it didn't hurt this much. I was back at work the following day and driving the same day. No such luck this time. I'm finding it hard to walk and sitting down is a nightmare too. Having to keep my knee straight and elevated doesn't do your mojo any favours. Hopefully it will ease up soon so I can actually sit comfortable to beable to do something. Need to make the most of the time I have off from work lol.

I'll pop back a little later to show the cards I made for Wednesday's class. I won't do it now as you're probably all asleep after that lol.

Baby Card

Well here it is finally finished.

I took my inspiration from the fabulously talented Tracy Gough. Her cricut cards are totally amazing. I saw this card last year and fell in love with it and so wanted to try it out but never actually got round to doing it.

I used my Design Studio and Plantain Schoolbook cartridge to make the ampersand card. The Sugar and Spice is also made using the DS and Basecamp cartridge. I then used my New Arrivals cart to cut out the bottle, rattle and the baby. I used Bazzill Fussy Tulle to make the bow around the middle.

Well i'm off to have a cuppa and then off to bed as it's back to work tomorrow.

Introducing Little Phoebe aka Bean

Just a quick one from me as i'm trying to make my Sis' and Bil's baby card. I'm not getting very far though.

I thought i'd post a couple of piccies of little Phoebe (Bean) or Fleabee as I call her now (not sure if my sister is impressed with that little nickname but she has to have one especially as her cousins are known as Herb and Lucifer lol).

Bean is here

Woooo hoooooo i'm the happiest Auntie in the World.

My lil sis gave birth to a healthy little girl at 5.59 am. She weighed 7lb 11oz. I've had a picture text to me and she is absolutely gorgeous (well I think she is). I can't wait to meet her and have my first cuddle.

Right i'd better shift myself and let the cat back in for her others wise i'll be in the dog house and there'll be no cuddles for me.

Just Magnolia Challenge #3 - Sketch

It's that time again another week and another challenge from Just Magnolia. This week's challenge is a sketch again. I'm loving this blog as it's getting me using all the Magnolia stamps that i've bought and never used lol.

I really needed to make a card for my Father in Law who's birthday was last week (eeekkk i'm so bad). In my defence I've been so excited about the arrival of my first Niece or Nephew that I totally forgot.

As my Father in Law loves fishing I decided that little fishing Edwin should come out and play. The backing paper is some more Daisy Bucket that I bought a while ago and needed an airing lol. The little fish are also Magnolia. I used my copics to colour the image except the water at the bottom which I used my watercolour pencils for cos I couldn't get it right with the copics lol. I used my new Martha Stewart Double Scallop punch which I lurve. I was a bit stumped as to what to do instead of the flourish as with it being a man's card the flourish looked to girly so i've left it off. I do hope that is ok?

Hope everyone is enjoying their bank holiday weekend. Me, i'm off to let my lil sis' cat out and then i'm going to kick DH's butt on Mario Karts which I bought for the family today. And i'm also keeping my fingers crossed that my little Bean will be here soon as my sis has being induced today (thats why i'm letting the cat out lol). Oooooo I think i'm the most excited Auntie to be in the world.

Truly Scrumptious Challenge 6

Hi all

I made this card today for the Truly Scrumptious Challenge Blog. It was to use this sketch:

I didn't realise until I read Suzie Q's blog that it was also supposed to have the theme of "good enough to eat" DOH i'm such a dingbat sometimes. Why don't I just read things properly!!! Oh well I enjoyed using the sketch and i'll definately use it again lol.

I used My Mind's Eye 29th Market Street Papers. OMG i've had these for a couple of months and every time I pull them out I stroke them and put them back again but today I decided that I was going to use them. The Image is from the Gorjuss Girls set 2. Heidi stamped a couple up for me (Thank you Heidi) cos I decided not to buy the set as there were a couple that I didn't like but i'll definately be getting the 4 that I do like when they are on sale seperately. I coloured her in with my copics. Sorry I didn't list the colours I just grabbed them and then put them back again. I really must write them down lol.

Back to work tomorrow so i'd best finish up here and climb the wooden hill to bedfordshire as me Nan used to say :o).

Just Magnolia Challenge #2

Bloomin heck how long was I lol.

Sorry about that. I did intend on coming back last night but my card just wasn't going to plan so I gave up. Then today I decided to pop round to my little sis' to see if there was any news on the arrival of my little Bean but no nothing yet. So I didn't start this till much later than I planned lol.

This week's challenge over at Just Magnolia is a colour combo challenge. Anything goes as long as you use the colours Pink and Green. Now this is a challenge lol. Now i'm not really a pink girl so I wasn't sure I could even enter this challenge, but whilst routing through my paper collection I came across some Daisy Bucket Wrapped Wishes paper which just so happen to be pink and green. Woo hoo I can enter.

Along with the papers I used some Hillary Bazzill card, Summer Tilda with Bow Knot from the Shabby Chic collection and a stamp from Hero Arts. I coloured the image in with my Prisma's and OMS.

I'm really not sure about this card. I'm still struggling to come up with creations of my own lol I much prefer doing sketches as it takes the hard work out of it.

OMG what a ding bat I am. I was looking at my piccie thinking "omg that is so grey looking I can't post that, what am I going to do"? When I suddenly remembered my graphics programme lol. I popped my piccie in there clicked on a few buttons and "Voila" a not so grey image. I'm going to redo all my other piccies on here so they don't look so dull. Good job really cos there was me saying I'll take another piccie of my PBSC card and I can't lol cos I'd sent it to Northampton.

Sometimes I worry myself I really do.

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Sketch 36

Evening all

Ooooo makes me sound like P.C Plod lol.

I thought I'd give the Cupcake Crafts Challenge Blog a go this time. This is the sketch that we had to use.

This is the card I made:

I decided to make a boys card as I really struggle with cards for men and boys and I know i'm not the only one lol. I used this cutie patootie little guy by Whipper Snapper which my fabby friend Jen stamped up for me. Thanks Jen. Unfortunately I don't know his name but he comes from the sets that Crafts u Love sell along with the little truck that is at the top. I used Daisy Bucket papers that were in my stash and some navy ribbon also from my stash. The sentiment is a Pebbles Inc rub on. I coloured the images in using my watercolour pencils as I fancied a change although I wish i'd used me copics lol.

I've got loads of challenges that I want to try and do this weekend but considering I've not got my next day off till Tuesday I'm not holding my breath and i'm waiting for my first neice or nephew to arrive who incidentally is 2 days late now. Does this child not know that there is one VERY excited Auntie waiting to meet them? Lol. Think I might have to make my sister some of my chilli. If that doesn't get that baby out nothing will lol.

Right enough of me. I'm off to make a start on another card before time runs out an my bed calls me.

Happy Birthday Jukie and PBSC Sketch 45

I made this card yesterday for a friend of mine who's birthday was on Sunday (it's safe to post now cos the lovely Royal Mail delivered it today :o)). I know i'm nawty and should of done it earlier but my little mojo is only just returning and I don't want to over work it, it might up and leave me again lol. I decided to use the PBSC Sketch as I had a couple of these images stamped up.

Here is the sketch that we had to use.

and here is my creation.

I turned the sketch 90 degrees. I used one of the new PB stamps called Primp. The PP's are Daisy Bucket Magical Moments and the sentiment is an Elzybells. I coloured the image in with prisma's and OMS which i'm not happy with. I should of watercoloured as I find it much easier with PB stamps but it's to late to worry now.

I have to say i'm really enjoying the blogging and doing challenges (ok Suzie Q you was right enjoy the moment cos I'm not saying it again lol) I'm using papers that have been sitting there gathering dust and i'm making things which I wouldn't have done lol. I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to visit and comment. All your comments really are appreciated.

Well i've bored you all enough for one night I'm off to bed as i've got work tomorrow.

Just Magnolia Sketch #1

Did I scare you lol?
Just when thought you was having a peaceful Sunday up I pop :o).This week has been so busy i've not had a chance to do anything. I've been working every day this week and today is my first day off to actually make something.

This is the sketch that you have to follow.

I started making a card last night for the new Just Magnolia Challenge Blog but by 2 o'clock in the morning I gave up. I was having a nightmare time. So this morning I started again and here is the finished result.

I've used the new Tilda with Bee from the Spring Collection 2008 and the Daisy from the Jingle Jangle Collection. I've coloured them in using my copics. Sorry I can't remember the colours. I had so many on my desk I couldn't remember which ones i'd used and which ones I hadn't lol, although I still need more shades cos I just don't seem to have the colours that I want lol. The papers are from the Crate Paper's Sweet Branch range and the flowers were white but I coloured them with my copics. The gems are some papermania ones. The sentiment stamp is Hero Arts.

I really enjoyed this sketch and will definately use it again.

Hope you are all enjoying the sunny weather cos i'm sure it won't last long lol. I'm off to sort out the dinner whilst listening to a certain person screaming at the ref cos he didn't give Man Utd the decision HE wanted him to give lol. Men!!!!!!

I'm on a roll......... Friday Sketches Challenge 47

Firstly i'm going to apologies. I'm know i'm not expected to post every day but my first chance to do something and I fall at the first hurdle. So big smack to me for not getting my act together.

Anyway now thats over with here is my attempt for the Friday Sketchers challenge.

I really enjoyed this challenge and i'm quite pleased with the end result, which is something you definately won't hear me saying very often.

I actually cut into my new MME Grow papers. I know I even shocked myself. I used co-ordinating bazzill and one of my gorjuss girls which I coloured in with my copics. The flourish is Rev 0024 which along with the MME papers and the bazzill can be bought at Crafts u Love. The sentiment is an Elzybells. The flowers, gems and ribbon are from my stash which had never been used until tonight lol. Don't forget the award in the post below it's for everyone who has followed or commented on my blog. Infact it's for everyone i'm not going to be stingy lol.

Well I think that's me for tonight i've got work tomorrow so best get myself into bed cos I have a feeling it's going to be one busy day.

Fifty and Fab!!!!

It was my friend Jackie's birthday in January and after making all those christmas cards lol (all 5 of them nawty mojo was MIA, thank god for mass produced shop ones) I wanted to make a card with the number 50 on it. Well you got to rub it in slightly especially as i've got a few years till i'm that old!!!!! Sorry Jac loves ya really. I decided to use my cricut and design studio to create a card. I'd had a little play with it before but that was about it.

This is how it turned out. I was really disappointed as the bazzill bling card really isn't strong enough for this sort of thing. I'm not sure how it looks to you all but in real life it was very flimsy. If anyone has any idea what other sort of card is good for this please let me know.

I used Plaintain Schoolbook and Diamond Bazzil Bling to actually make the card, using the design studio to weld the 5 & 0 together. I then cut out the 50 again using In the Pink Bazzill Bling. The happy and the TH was welded in design studio using George and Basic shapes and again cut out in Diamond and In the Pink Bazzill Bling. I stamped and coloured New Years Tilda in with my copics. I only had the skin tone set when I did this card. Since then i've been a very nawty girlie and treat myself to them all. Happy Xmas, mothers day, Easter, Birthday and any other event which requires pressies to me lol. I could and should of done more with this card it's very bland looking but it's to late now her birthday was 4 months ago lol.

Well that's the end of my pre made show and tell cards. Now i've actually got to get myself off this pooter and bloomin well make something new. Although I could cheat for a bit longer and show the xmas cards lol. Hmm now there's an idea.

ETA: I did actually give her this card a few days after her birthday lol unlike two other friends who's birthdays were January and March and they are still waiting. Best shift my backside lol.

I'm back again two posts in one day but I just had to post about this. I've just been having a nosey round my usual haunts and i've found out (not that it was a secret) that there is going to be a new magnolia challenge blog called Just Magnolia take a look for yourself. I LOVE MAGNOLIA'S. Sorry for shouting but I love magnolia's they are like my most favourite stamp ever. I'm totally addicted. It's being launched on the 17th April. They have got a totally fabulous DT. Oh I can't wait.

Any way i'm off to finish what I started and take my terrible singing voice with me :o)

Mrs Wonka's Anniversary!!!

It was Mr & Mrs Wonka's Wedding Anniversary last week and I had to make her a card. Oh the panic that set in was unbelieveable. My heart was racing and I was breaking out into a cold sweat lol.

Now my mojo has been missing for quite a long time (I have witnesses that can verify it's disappearance lol). It disappeared some time last year and I was getting quite worried that it wasn't going to come back. I was so worried infact that I thought I was going to have to put a picture on a milk carton with the message Treacle's Mojo is missing if you find please call.......................lol. I did also contemplate a Clinton's card but I knew exactly what i'd have got if I produce that so I came up with this:

Now as many of you know or not as the case maybe Mrs Wonka lurves her Penny Black stamps (as much as I lurve ready salted crisps yes). This one is from this year's Valentine's collection and it's called T.L.C. Pp's are Swoon from Bo Bunny's Sweetie Pie range. I have used nesties for the matting and layering. Lurve these little babies. The sentiment is doodlbebug simply sweet rub ons and I used my water colour pencils to colour it in instead of my copics, cos I'm not very good at the shading yet. Need a bit more practice there me thinks although I did come across an excellent tutorial by Rach which I shall definately be referring to on a regular basis. Finally I added some red stickles to the hearts on the tree cos me knows Mrs W lurves her glitter.

Right i've rambled enough i'm off to get my daily fix of blogs. Hopefully i'll be able to pull something out of the bag for tomorrow's posting.

Hello Kitty!

Good Evening

Today's card was made a little while ago. I know I know nothing new but at least it's something lol.

I'd just got my Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut Cartridge and had taken it in to work to show the girlies. (KT in despatch loves Hello Kitty as much as I love ready salted crisps and was well excited at my little purchase). Suzie Q was looking at it and said "I love those images i'd be well chuffed if I got a card like that".

Ping went the light bulb in my head. I'd been struggling for ages thinking of what sort of card I was going to make her. I did contemplate one courtesy of Hallmark but thought I might get a rather large smack round the head if I did that lol.

So here it is:
I used Bazzill Bling cardstock for the balloons and her dress (I can't remember the names of the colours cos her birthday was in February. (Sorry to disappoint you Suzie Q but the "freak" sorry "Sonic" is off form today lol ). The image was cut at 5.5 " (I think. Oh i'm so useless tonight) and the Happy Birthday was cut at 2" (again I think). The background paper was a DCWV from the Nanna's Kids paper pad. I found it whilst rummaging through my cupboard. Hmm I wonder what other goodies I might find if I rummage again lol.

Eta - Blasted blogger is having a mental moment and won't let me upload the finished article. Typical. I'll try again later and hopefully it will be there. Sorry. Infact it was me having the mental moment. I clicked on the add an image but nothing happened stupid window was already open I just found it whilst trying to have a tidy up and close down the millions (slight over exaggeration) that I had open doh sometimes I can be such a ding bat lol.

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge - How Old!

Well I made this card a few days ago for my daughter's friend. I couldn't believe my luck when I was blog hopping through the challenges yesterday and came across the A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge. The challenge this week is to put the age on your card.

Seen as i'm new to this blogging lark I though why not enter it in, it would be silly not to really right? That's two challenges now get me ;o)

I've used one of the new Gorjuss girl stamps called Sitting. Me loves this girlies lots and lots unfortunately me buddy Mrs W doesn't share the love with me. Sorry Mrs W i'll buy you some sunglasses to shield your eyes. I've coloured her in with me copics. I love them almost as much as ready salted crisps ;o). I used me Cricut to cut out the 14 and stuck it onto the background which is from a pad of Basic Grey Gypsy papers which i've had for ages. Rubons are Doodlebug.

Right i'm off to have a play on the Wii whilst the kiddies are out playing in this fabby sun that we've got today.

Stamp with Us Challenge Blog

I'm back *giggle*

I said I'd be back with another post so here I am.
I made this card a few days ago for the Stamp with Us Challenge Blog

I'm still not sure about it although i'm never really sure about any of my cards but i'm willing to show the good with the bad (and there might be a lot of bad but bear with me lol).

I used the retired papers called Cutie Pie and Rose Red cardstock.

I've got some more cards to show over the next couple of days and I'll do my best to try and make sure that I start using my stash instead of just stroking it and then putting it away (I know i'm not the only one that does it). Oh the pain this is going to cause.

Right thats it for now i'm off to text a certain couple of ladies who have been threatening to cut up my papers plus i'm a little lost for words which once you get to know me you know that this is a truely remarkable moment and should be noted on the calendar lol.

Treacle in Blog Land

Well i've finally bitten the bullet and decided that it's time I jump into this world of blogging. Well I say jump I was more pushed wasn't I Suzie Q. She held a heat gun to my head and said "blog or you'll get it" lol.

I can't guarantee it will be up dated every day hell I can't guarantee i'll up date this every week although saying that I do have a few things that will be going on today and over the next few days. Got to make a good impression :o).

So I suppose I should really get myself off this pooter and make a start on taking a few photos and tidying up the crafting area so I at least have space to make something.

I'll pop back later to add a piccie of my first ever challenge.
