Well I thought i'd nip on and say sorry i've not posted anything but i've had a minor set back with my knee. I had the stitches removed on Thursday. Hurray I thought no more sitting with my leg on the desk whilst I whip round the t'internet viewing my fav blogs lol. Unfortunately I hadn't taken more than 10 paces from the hospital doorway when it started to bleed. I went back in and they steri striped it up and put a dressing on. "Keep that on for 24 hours" the nurse said and if you still have problems come back. Well I took the dressing off yesterday but didn't bother with the steri strips as I was working and thought it would add a little bit of protection. I decided to take the steri strips off before I went to bed last night (you may have guessed i'm no early bird when it comes to bedtime lol). Now if you are a little squeamish don't read on lol. As I started to carefully remove the steri strips my knee decided to open up before my eyes. Now I think the deep tissue sutures wanted to say hello but I can't be sure lol. So at 1am this morning i've had to get my darling hubby to run me down to the local walk in clinic to see what they could do. Unfortunately it was to far gone to restitch so I had to have it steri striped again. Now you'd be thinking that this is the end of my rather long winded story and if I had any sort of good luck then you'd be right but alas i'm not that fortunate. Today at work it was really hurting it actually felt like i'd been burnt. So carefully removing the huge bandage that had been applied and peeling back the dressing I found a rather large red sore. Yes you've guessed it i've developed an allergy to this particular sort of plaster (insert rolling eyes smilie). So this evening off I go back to the walk in clinic to have it removed and another dressing put on. Whilst the nurse was prepping everything see noticed that my knee was slightly warm. Yep you've guessed right again i've developed an infection.
I'm now on antibiotics for the next week and i've got to keep my knee rested and elevated again and i've got to try and get about with a knee strapped up like this:
You know if I didn't have bad luck i'd have none at all lol.
Hope I didn't bore you all with my long winded moan. Hopefully this will all be over and done with by this time next week and I can get back to my desk sitting in the correct position and doing a bit of crafting.
You can wake up now i've finished lol.
God that was a bit more than a nip on wasn't it sorry.

OMG sweetie poor you although if you were my patient i would be hiding every time you cam through the door, lol. Hope you are on the mend soon - you will have a lovely white knee after all this sunshine!!!
